Our Programs

Traditional Parent University

Offers both Parenting skills and life skills content responding to parent input. Serves parents of children of all ages. A session is divided into three one-hour periods with a different set of 8-10 classes offered in each period from which parents can choose each period…. 25-30 classes total per day offered. A session is four hours long and held on Saturday mornings. A session is generally held in a High School and attracts parents from the entire community. Typically, 150-200 parents and 150 children attend a Traditional Parent U session.

Early Learning College

Offers parenting skills content for parents of children birth to-3/4/5 years of age only that includes parent input. A session is divided into two 1hr-20-minute periods with the same 5-6 classes offered in each period from which parents can choose. A session is four hours long and held on Saturday mornings. Sessions are held in elementary schools or neighborhood community centers. The module is designed to attract parents of the particular neighborhood. Often a children book give-away program in offered. Typically, 65-100 parents and 50-80 children attend an ELC session.

Baby Shower

A session is designed to present an ELC overview and entice parents to attend regular ELC sessions (as well as Traditional Parent U). A session is about an hour long and offers one or two ELC classes depending on number of parents. A session can occur anytime any day with input from parents. Designed to attract parents of children birth to 3/4/5 years old as well as expectant parents. Sessions are held a great variety of locations in neighborhoods (e.g. health facility, child care center, neighborhood community centers, churches, etc.). Often a children book give-away program is offered. Typically, 10-20 parents and 20-30 children attend.
